Talent Foundry at Microelectronics US: Connecting the Next Generation of Engineers with Industry Leaders
The microelectronics industry is expanding rapidly - from semiconductor manufacturing and advanced packaging to embedded intelligence and photonics-enabled systems.
With this growth comes a critical challenge: developing the next generation of engineers who will design, build and deploy these technologies.
At Microelectronics US, the Talent Foundry has been created to support that next generation by connecting students and early-career engineers with the people already shaping the future of the industry.
Introducing the Talent Foundry
Taking place on the afternoon of April 23 at the Palmer Events Center in Austin, the Talent Foundry is a dedicated mentoring experience designed to create open conversations between emerging engineers and experienced industry professionals.
Rather than formal presentations, the programme is built around interactive roundtable discussions, giving participants the opportunity to ask questions, explore career pathways and gain insight into what it takes to succeed in the microelectronics sector today.
These conversations often provide valuable perspective on topics such as:
-
How engineers enter the semiconductor and photonics industries
-
The skills companies are actively looking for
-
Career development across design, manufacturing and systems engineering
Two Mentoring Sessions
The Talent Foundry will take place at the Photonics US Stage across two mentoring sessions:
Session 1
April 23, 2026 - 14:00 - 15:00
Session 2
April 23, 2026 - 15:00 - 16:00
Each session will feature a different group of mentors, representing a variety of technical disciplines and career journeys across the microelectronics ecosystem.
This allows attendees to join discussions that are most relevant to their interests and ambitions.
Connecting Talent with Industry
Microelectronics US brings together the semiconductor, photonics and embedded systems ecosystem across two days of technical sessions, networking and industry collaboration.
Alongside 100+ speakers and 100+ exhibitors, the Talent Foundry provides a dedicated space for emerging engineers to gain insight, ask questions and build meaningful connections with professionals working across the industry.
For students and early-career engineers, it’s an opportunity to better understand where their skills can make an impact in the microelectronics sector.
