MOSIS 2.0

MOSIS 2.0 is the unified storefront to California DREAMS’ microelectronics prototyping ecosystem, providing rapid prototyping and process development through seven university nanofabs (USC, UCI, UCLA, UCR, UCSB, UCSD, and Caltech) and three DoW-volume fabs (Northrop Grumman, Teledyne, and HRL). These partners bring extensive expertise in silicon CMOS and advanced compound semiconductor technologies—including GaAs, InP, and GaN HEMT/HBT—supporting development on 100–300 mm wafers. A central strength of MOSIS 2.0 is its comprehensive MPW services spanning leading foundries such as TSMC, Intel, Samsung, SkyWater, GlobalFoundries, WIN Semiconductors, Sandia National Labs, and RTX, covering technology nodes from 1.8 nm to 350 nm and advanced III–V platforms for RF, photonics, and power electronics. MOSIS 2.0 also offers end-to-end IC design services, including PDK evaluation, circuit implementation, circuit and EM simulation, device modeling, and full DRC/LVS physical verification to accelerate RF/MMIC and CMOS design closure. Coupled with the PIES team’s white-glove process development support, PDF Solutions analytics, and Fabublox small-volume fabrication, MOSIS 2.0 enables fast, reliable transitions from early concepts to high-quality prototype devices.
